Especially with the little ones. It was fun to see this little one learning its defensive skills by cavorting with its mama - sure was a quick little guy & and could freeze really well, too. We continue to see the adult from time to time, but not the little one. Could be it's hiding on the fringe, or has gone its own way by now, or... as you say, it's nature's way. Thanks for your comments; I always enjoy them!Ladybughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17150609820066935078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3917642184695061989.post-68461348663814933432012-07-08T10:44:24.196-07:002012-07-08T10:44:24.196-07:00so glad to hear you spotted mama and her little on...so glad to hear you spotted mama and her little one. but...that's life in the wild...i guess each animal has it's prey...although we don't really like to think about that...especially when you see the little ones that aren't as practiced yet...to use their defenses!! i hope your brush bunny family grows and grows!!laurak/ForestWalkArt :)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00285156023840252154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3917642184695061989.post-20219270138544722972012-07-05T08:56:17.580-07:002012-07-05T08:56:17.580-07:00Tumbleweed - the zig-zagging does seem to work for...Tumbleweed - the zig-zagging does seem to work for them.If Jas ever did catch one she'd then have those strong hind legs & nasty claws to deal with, so you're lucky that maybe she doesn't even try.

Sherrie - I'll bet you do have a Brush Bunny, as they're quite common. Some people never notice them until they move or nibble too many things in their yard. Wonder what Bunners would think if she(he?) saw one?Ladybughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17150609820066935078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3917642184695061989.post-51296245298422205582012-07-02T14:46:28.392-07:002012-07-02T14:46:28.392-07:00I think this is what we have living in the woods o...I think this is what we have living in the woods outside our kitchen window, but I didn't know what it was called. I grazes in our yard, but stays close to the edge of the forest. That zig-zag running they do is a lifesaver, for sure.Staceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15477759880480781308noreply@blogger.com
